Loyalty

There are simple, undemanding ways to be a “good" human being. Luckily, almost all of these needed characteristics are ones that can be adopted simply by choice and conscience behavior. Perhaps one of the most important traits of all is that of loyalty. Loyalty expands further than just relationships and bonds between people. Loyalty should be present in everything important in a person’s life; like their career, healthy habits, and good works towards all. In this era, loyalty is a quality that seems to be depleting at an alarmingly fast rate. Our society loves to complain about the lack of fulfillment that they feel in life, however, they refuse to acknowledge that they feel this way because of their own actions and choices. It is nearly impossible to be completely satisfied without the comfort and love of another individual, and it is nearly impossible to earn this unconditional love without a presence of loyalty.

Success is the result of perfection, hard work, learning from failure, loyalty, and persistence.
— Colin Powell

Many people see loyalty as an “inconvenience,” or as something that does nothing but hold them  back. In a day and age that wants everything at this exact moment, of course it is going to be difficult to see the overwhelming benefits that loyalty will bring. If you crave to feel satisfaction in more than just brief, ecstatic moments, learn to see loyalty as an investment that only gets better with time.

Choose how you live.

Be loyal.

Be satisfied.

Be happy.
