Nearly a third of our life is spent with our brains turned off and our bodies tucked in bed, sleeping. Additionally, take into account how much time is spent at either work or school: at least another third. Finally, think about the other little things that occupy your life; simple things like eating or showering. We truly don’t have much time to do what we love to do. Rather than taking everything life presents us with, we can actively choose to shape and form a life for ourselves.
Just like I had previously written about in my post about being Impatient, it is good to live out your short days here on earth with an aggressive lifestyle. We can fill our free time with meaningful and constructive adventures, pursuing everything we love and avoiding the mundane realities that will be present regardless of what we do. Too often we dismiss our own dreams and tuck them away just because the end goal is distant. Each day, live aggressively and chip away at the walls that you have put up. Put purpose behind every step you take in this life, and walk towards your own goals. Happiness will not only come from the goals you reach, but also with the pursuit that comes with it.
