We’ve all felt dull at times. Our lives often fall into a routine that lacks excitement, leaving us apathetic towards life. Attending the same classes, dealing with the same people, or facing the same issues everyday can take a toll on us. The only way to combat a lackluster lifestyle is to experience, and to grow from these experiences. Trying something new forces you out of your comfort zone, but once you get over the initial anxiety a new experience brings, your curiosity of the unknown starts to kick in. The new brings in a sense of living and adventure, leaving you with a feeling of satisfaction. Everything you do can benefit you in some way, depending on your outlook on the situation. Make the decision to keep an open mind when experiencing new things, and seek out different ways to learn and expand from everything you do.
I wrote about this whole idea of trying new things in a past post of mine, Overcoming Fear. "It shapes your life in ways you never thought imaginable, and adds a flair that permits your mind to comprehend everything differently. Traveling to new parts of the world can alter your perspectives. Witnessing wonders of nature allows you to see the beauty of all around you. Talking to a variety of people permits you to bypass your previously limited psyche. Seeing and experiencing new places, people, and ideas will pry open your mind and connect the dots. It will allow you to understand ideas you never could have previously fathomed.” Choose to try something new today, and see how it affects you. Chances are, you’ll be better off.
